BLOGGERS/REPORTERS

Must be prepared to learn how to do the following:

• Write a blog entry
• Upload a photograph to the blog
• Edit mistakes
• Check the entry on the actual blog
• Write a comment
• Follow a blog
• Add information into sidebar
• Upload photos to Picasa (the online storage facility for each blog)


Must be prepared to do the following:

• Create a Symbaloo account and add the BBEC STUDENT and BBEC MEDIA TEAM webmixes (This will give you quick access to all the tools and sites we access regularly)

• Go out and get the stories that deserve telling. Build up a number of contacts (including a photographer) to provide you with news. Keep an eye on the Media Team Calendar and read the school Newsletter so you can select events to attend as a reporter… or can interview relevant people immediately after the event.
• Accept a commission from a teacher for a specific project.
• Update your nominated blog regularly. ( EG, once a fortnight)
• Attend Media Club occasionally (eg once per half term) for further training, if necessary.
• Stay in contact with Ms Cox/ Mrs Harwood by reading your e-mails and the BBEC Media Team Blog regularly.


PHOTOGRAPHERS

Must be prepared to learn how to do the following:

• Upload a photograph to Picasa
• Follow a blog

PODCASTERS/INTERVIEWERS

Must be prepared to learn how to do the following:

• Use Audioboo, Podium, Audacity, Garageband  or similar
• Upload a file to chosen storage area.
• Embed a podcast into a blog

Must be prepared to do the following:
• Create a Symbaloo account and add the BBEC STUDENT and BBEC MEDIA TEAM webmixes (This will give you quick access to all the tools and sites we access regularly)

  2. Do them both, Lauren. They go together perfectly, especially if you have a phone with a camera and have it with you in school.
